David is a director of product management at Groupon and venture partner at Greylock. He led Greylock's investments in Gowalla (acquired by Facebook) and 1000Memories (acquired by Ancestry.com). He also played a key role in Greylock's investments in Pandora, Cloudera, Redfin, and TellApart.
Prior to joining Greylock in 2009, David was a product management executive at Google. During his five years at Google, he served as a product manager for AdWords, and led the creation of new advertising products for global ad agencies, local businesses, and publisher partners. In addition, David relocated to Europe for two years where he built Google’s product development organization in the region and drove the expansions of products into international markets.
Earlier in his career, David held software engineering and project management roles at pcOrder, a software company that provided e-commerce and supply chain solutions to the computer industry. He joined as an early employee and over four years helped build the company through an initial public offering (formerly NASD:PCOR) and eventual acquisition by Trilogy Software.
He has also held product development roles at IBM and Electronic Arts.
David received a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
