Sanjay joined Greylock in 2011 and focuses on consumer internet investments. Prior to Greylock, Sanjay co-founded Howcast, an online video company that produces and distributes short-form how-to videos across the web and has regularly been named on Time’s annual 50 Best Websites. Sanjay served as Howcast’s Chief Product Officer, leading all product and engineering strategy across the company.
Before founding Howcast, Sanjay spent 4 years at Google, leading several product initiatives, most recently as a product manager for Google Apps, where he was responsible for syndicating Gmail, Calendar, Docs, and other products to enterprises and SMBs. As one of the initial members of the Google Video team, Sanjay launched the first user-generated video upload platform and led several key areas of the product.
Sanjay started his career at Morgan Stanley and co-founded an enterprise wireless software company while in college that was acquired in 2001. Sanjay holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, both from MIT. He advises several early-stage startup companies.
An avid skier and cyclist, Sanjay enjoys all the outdoor activities that San Francisco has to offer.
