Greylock has a storied history of partnering with exceptional Entrepreneurs in Residence, resulting in the identification, inception, and growth of market-defining companies. For instance, Mustafa Suleyman started Inflection.AI, Stuart Bowers joined Apple as a leader in AI and Robotics, and D.J. Patil went on to lead data science for the White House.

For the first time, we are looking for a proficient AI researcher to join us in the newly created role of Researcher in Residence, on a part-time basis. We’ve crafted this role for someone who might be transitioning between research or industry roles, or in late stages of a graduate program, looking to thoughtfully explore their next step.

Your time with Greylock will be structured to afford you the flexibility to focus on uncovering your next venture, be it as a founder, a team member in a scaling company, or in academia. Greylock’s network, reach, and company understanding will be a powerful catalyst for your efforts. All the while, you will collaboratively work with Greylock’s investment team and a selection of our AI portfolio companies to accelerate the most compelling opportunities at the frontier of AI.

If you are an ambitious AI researcher who would like to explore spending time with us, please reach out to researcher@greylock.com. We are excited to collaborate on helping to build the intelligent future together.

See below for more details on the role.
