By integrating Dazz’s capabilities, Wiz aims to extend its cloud security offerings to smart risk prioritization and remediation, simplifying how customers strengthen their cybersecurity posture.
Dazz was founded in Israel by Merav Bahat (CEO), Tomer Schwartz (CTO) and Yuval Ofir (VP R&D), three exceptional founders with deep security expertise. The company assembled a very talented product team, and over the last year began scaling a very strong GTM team under the leadership of two experienced executives: Jared Phipps and Julie O’Brien. The company also built out a strong investor syndicate with Cyberstarts, Insight, Index and Greylock. Today Dazz has developed the industry’s leading cybersecurity remediation cloud, with growing deployments at many leading Global 2000 companies.
It has been a privilege for us at Greylock to be a part of the Dazz journey since inception, along with our friends at Cyberstarts. When we invested, the company did not yet have a product idea – our investment in the seed round was a “people first decision,” predicated on the impression the three founders made on us when we met over Zoom. The founders and the team they assembled have proved to be formidable. As CEO, Merav has led the company with a 24×7 work ethic, lived on planes, and proved to be a force of nature with customers. The company’s very first customer PO in July 2021 was at $25K, and in the most recent quarter the company had seven figure architectural wins with enterprise customers that are household names. While Dazz is an early and fast growing company, Merav and Assaf at Wiz decided to combine forces and serve customers together going forward, with a single integrated solution under the Wiz umbrella.
