Adept is an ML research and product lab building useful general intelligence in the form of a universal AI teammate. It was founded by a team with deep roots in ML, including key contributors to Google, DeepMind, and OpenAI’s largest models. Greylock was the first investor in 2022, when Adept introduced ACT-1, their first large model for actions, which can execute complex user requests across a range of software tools. This powerful underlying technology and the team’s product vision have attracted strategic investors like Microsoft, Nvidia, Atlassian, and Workday.

Snorkel’s mission is to empower everyone to solve their most impactful problems through data-centric AI. Founded by a team spun out of the Stanford AI Lab, Snorkel equips enterprises to unlock the power of LLMs and foundation models by focusing on the most critical part—the training data. Greylock partnered with Snorkel since they were still in the lab at Stanford, and the team initially worked out of Greylock offices.
