Backstory

My Grandpa is my hero. Growing up, he would spend hours sharing stories from his life, from his time at Los Alamos National Laboratory to his entrepreneurial attempts in 1980s New Mexico.

Above all, my Grandpa was a dreamer. In everything he did, he would envision the most ambitious path and do everything he could to manifest that hope into reality.

My first dream was to be a scientist. As a teenager, I spent years experimenting with room-temperature superconductors and supercapacitors. When I finally accepted that none of my materials ideas were working, I turned to building AI in 2021 to help me explore new ones.

My research landed me a job at Schmidt Futures, working on the AI for Science fund. We focused on identifying and philanthropically funding the most ambitious AI-for-science datasets and research projects. A few of the best researchers I worked with started companies, and I had the privilege of being their first believer, helping them in the year before founding.

I typically start working with founders before they identify as one, often months or even years in advance, helping them shape their ideas, de-risk assumptions, and most importantly, be their first believer in what is possible.

How I work with founders

I work in service of the founders I partner with. Whether that means spending nights in your office brainstorming technical architectures, supercharging your recruiting pipeline, testing your positioning with potential customers, or unboxing your robots, I’m in.
